* The program plan depends in part on the number of convention registrants and hotel reservations there are by September 5. With a sufficient number, the hotel will provide us with enough meeting space to offer multiple "tracks" for recovery. This track is a walk-through of the Twelve Steps using the "Twelve Step Workshop and Study Guide". This popular OA-approved literature sold out in its first printing. NOTE: The Guide is recommended, but is not required for the Twelve Steps track. For those interested, the Guide will be available for purchase at the convention Marketplace. Also, the Guide can be purchased online (click here for more info).
Basket Raffles & Marketplace for REGION 5 CONVENTION October 20-22, 2017
Proceeds go to help support the convention and keep costs down for attendees. Great opportunity for your group or intergroup to work together!
BASKETS Each basket should have a theme. (ex.: Serenity, OA Literature, Pampering Basket, Pet Basket, Fitness Basket, Family Games, Grandparent, etc.) Pick themes that would include items that you like!
Please provide a list of items and the name of your group on the basket. It doesn’t have to be fancy. Just bullet points.
Be creative and ask folks at your meeting to contribute or take up a contribution and have one or two members purchase the items and container. You can assemble it before or after your scheduled meeting time.
Please stay in the guidelines of our 12 traditions.
Baskets will be raffled off Saturday evening. Tickets for baskets and other raffles are sold in the Marketplace.
MARKETPLACE Super Easy! Raise funds for your intergroup by renting a table at the marketplace for only $25.
Your intergroup provides items for sale and staffs the table.
Think about items that would help people remember the convention such as bookmarks, book covers, recovery pins or pens, coffee mugs, or craft items.
