How has / does OA help you to "Live Life on Life's Terms?" What does that mean to you?

To me it means that I accept each thing that happens in life, without fighting it. It can be something very difficult - the illness or death of a loved one - or typical - the car won't start, the computer is slow, the rain messes up my plans. Each thing that happens, I need to accept it, or as the Serenity Prayer says, figure out if there is anything that I can change. Usually the only thing I can change is my own behavior!

So "on life's terms" to me means that I don't try to bargain for better terms, using my will to try to control what happens. I must relax and take each situation as it comes. I've found it gets easier as I practice, but may take me a long time to get really good at it. Today, I ask for the wisdom to know the difference.
